Submissions to Journal of Dental Innovation are only accepted for consideration via the online manuscript submission site at https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/jdentinno. Authors who do not have an active account within the system are required to create a new account by clicking, “Create An Account,” on the Log In page. The system will prompt the authors through a step by step process to create their account. Once created authors can submit their manuscripts by entering their “Author” and clicking the button by “Start New Submission”

The manuscript text file should be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) with Times New Roman size 12, double-spaced spacing in standard A4 (21.2 x 29.7 cm) pages, 2.5 cm margin on all four sides. Pages should be numbered in succession, the title page being no.1. The manuscript should not exceed 5,000 words (exclusive of acknowledgements and references) and should contain the following:
TITLE PAGE
Title page should contain Title of the article, names and affiliations of authors, contact information of corresponding author (mailing address), abstract word count, total word count (abstract to acknowledgements), total number of tables/figures, number of references, and a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 keywords in alphabetical order. Titles do not normally include numbers, acronyms, abbreviations or punctuation. The title should include sufficient detail for indexing purposes but be general enough for readers outside the field to appreciate what the paper is about.
ABSTRACT
The abstract should not exceed 250 words and should contain the headings: "Background/ objectives", "Materials and methods", "Results", and "Conclusion" for the respective sections. A 50 word "Clinical Significance" statement should appear at the end of the abstract advising readers of the clinical importance and relevance of their work. These subheadings should appear in the text of the abstract. Please repeat the title of the article at the top of the abstract page.
MAIN MANUSCRIPT
The manuscript should not exceed 5,000 words (exclusive of acknowledgements and references) and should contain the following sections.
INTRODUCTION
Contains the review of relevant literature, rationale and objective of the study.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Describe the study design, study population, protocols, statistical analyses, and experimental procedures, with sufficient details that the experiments could be repeated. For studies with human subjects, authors should indicate that the study protocols have been approved by an appropriate Institutional Review Board and written informed consent was obtained. Studies involving the use of laboratory animals are also required to certify that the protocols have been approved by institutional review to ensure human practices.
RESULTS
Describe the results from the study in accordance with study objectives, figures and tables may be used to illustrate the results.
DISCUSSION
Include interpretations of the results in the context of existing data, strengths and limitations of the study, new insights or hypothesis, and future directions.
CONCLUSIONS
Summarize the main results of the study.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Authors are required to report all sources of support for their project or study, including but not limited to: grant funds, commercial sources, funds from a contributors’ institution. Consultancies and funds paid directly to investigators must also be listed. Any perceived or actual conflicts of interest need to be identified in the acknowledgments section. The journal abides by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors guidelines for the Ethical Considerations in the Conduct and Report of Research (http://www.icmje.org). Authors are requested to include this information in the acknowledgments section and the corresponding author must confirm that all co-authors have reported any potential conflicts.

FIGURE LEGENDS
Included at the end of the main text file. These should describe the figures so that they can be comprehensible without reference to the text. Any abbreviations and/or symbols used should also be described.
TABLES
Use when necessary and must be referred to in the text. Each table should be prepared on a separate page that follows the main text in the same file using word-processor table functions, with individual entries in individual table cells. They must not be supplied as tab- or space- separated text or as multiple entries separated by line breaks in single table cells. No vertical line or outside border should be included. Horizontal lines may be used to separate table headings from the contents. Each table should have a title and include a footnote to describe any statistics, abbreviations and/or symbols used in the table.
